Monday, April 8, 2024:   One of the most important days of 2024 — if not during the entire decade of the 2020s — is today. This is due to a Total Solar Eclipse at 11:22am that energizes 20 degrees of Aries and in which the Sun and Moon are in an almost exact union with the wounded-healer centaur-body Chiron. (The Sun precisely unites with Chiron at 11:30am for their highly-enlightening annual conjunction.) This solar-lunar merger will form a Path of Totality that begins in Mexico (near Mazatlan) and sweeps up northeast in an arc that includes key localities in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Quebec, Canada, and Maine. Assuming clear skies (a crucial assumption!), residents in Cape Girardeau, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Erie, Niagara Falls and Buffalo are in for an extraordinary treat of stellar profundity that will rival the earlier Great American Eclipse that wowed millions on August 21, 2017 in late-Leo which marked its Path of Totality starting in Oregon and going through the heartland of the USA to end and go out to sea in Charleston, South Carolina exactly where the American Civil War began on April 12, 1861. Realize that not only will the Aries themes of personal willpower and leadership be heightened, but the main archetypes of Chiron (healing old psychic and physical wounds; holistic therapies and alternative medicine; shamans and mentors; mavericks and catalysts; keys opening doors to higher consciousness; oracles and vortexes of spiritual illumination; meditation, affirmations and mandalas; the Twilight Zone; UFOs and ETs) will be amplified for good or ill. Along for the ride during this momentous 24-hour time-span will be a tense, 45-degree aspect between usually benevolent planets Venus in Aries and Jupiter in Taurus (1:55am) plus other frictional sky cycles including the Sun contra-parallel Saturn and Mars (4:05pm and 7:07pm) and then Mars parallel Saturn (11:58pm). Add on the monthly communication-promoting Moon-Mercury rendezvous at 25 degrees of Aries (7:40pm while the great Messenger of the Gods planet is retrograde) and you get the sense that this Monday in April 2024 will make it into the record books for sure. One final note is that the Moon-Mercury liaison also begins an 8+ hour void lunar zone at 7:40pm that concludes when the Moon enters earthy Taurus, the sign of its exaltation, at 4:24am on Tuesday April 9.
