Tuesday, June 30, 2020 The sixth month of 2020 ends with a bang — not a whimper. Harmonious trines by the Moon in Scorpio energize the Sun and Mercury in Cancer (7:21am and 8:40am, respectively) as well as Ceres in Pisces (1:11pm). Like the grand triangle in air signs this past Saturday, this is another grand triangle that occurs in water signs and has the capacity to play the role of temporary emotional support system. Matters relating to health and illness demand attention due to a square between the Sun and Chiron (10:50am). Later on a flurry of major alignments manifests as Mercury in Cancer forms a constructive, 60-degree tie with Uranus in Taurus (3:14pm) — an aspect repeated nearly 8 hours later when the Sun and Uranus form this same sky configuration (11:08pm). In between these two mentally-stimulating and revelatory liaisons, a third heavenly signature takes place — the Sun-Mercury Inferior Conjunction at 7:54pm and energizing 10 degrees of Cancer. This type of rendezvous occurs approximately every four months when Mercury is retrograde and between the Earth and the Sun in the solar system. The eminent astrologers Dane Rudhyar and Dr. Marc Edmund Jones referred to this cosmic line-up as a New Mercury. The fundamental purpose of this kind of Earth-Mercury-Sun connection is to release cosmic seed-ideas into the minds of human souls with the hope that positive changes will occur throughout our planet in a wide variety of fields of experience.
