Dateline July 4, 2019: This morning’s 6.4 earthquake centered in the Searles Valley of California (near the town of Ridgecrest, population approximately 28,000) is the most severe in the last 20 years in the Golden State. There have been well over 150 after-shocks and the concerns of seismologists are growing that another 5.0+ or larger earthquake might occur in the near future. The synchronization of this earthquake with our national solar rebirth and the overly-heavy militarization of festivities in Washington, DC is perhaps a greater worry.
In looking at the exact birth chart, the rising degree of 12+ Virgo is pointing toward California’s Virgo Sun degree (16+ Virgo) from this state entering the Union on September 9, 1850 following the Gold Rush of the previous two years. And 12+ Virgo is also the exact Sun degree for when Los Angeles was founded as a town on September 4, 1781 – just six weeks before the British defeat at Yorktown gave America its victory in the Revolutionary War. Therefore, this earthquake may be a reminder that LA – which is so connected with the San Andreas fault-line – needs to always prepare for the so-called “Big One.”
In addition to Jupiter — the largest planet in our solar system under the Earth in the 4th house and the recent Total Solar Eclipse/New Moon in Cancer exactly on the Heliocentric North Node of Jupiter’s orbit around the Sun — two very provocative planetary midpoints intersect with the Rising/Setting and MC/IC angles at the exact time and place of the earthquake. The Saturn/Uranus midpoint is influencing the Western and Eastern Horizons while the Sun/Uranus midpoint is activating the MC/IC angle.
The vertical angle is also in sync with the Nuclear Axis in Gemini-Sagittarius that I discovered back in 1982 and reported in our pioneering astrological journal Welcome to Planet Earth. The Nuclear Axis and the vertical angle of this chart also bring the Red Giant stars — Aldebaran in the constellation of Taurus and Antares in the constellation of Scorpio — into a polarity energizing this earthquake. Other key sky configurations at this earthquake include the transiting Mean Lunar North Node making a precise union with the discovery degree and minute of Pluto from February 18, 1930 (17 degrees and 47 minutes of Cancer) along with Saturn now in opposition at 17+ degrees of Capricorn at the transiting Mean Lunar South Node. Plus, in the hours just preceding this earthquake, we find often volatile and inflammatory Mars making a tense, 135-degree link to Jupiter, Venus connecting with the largest asteroid Ceres via a dicey, 150-degree tie while the Moon at 8+ degrees of Leo (on the fate-destiny oriented USA Lunar North Node from July 4, 1776) had just made its monthly conjunction with Juno — the key major asteroid considered a goddess of storms and dis-empowerment when its influence is negative.
Important Update July 5 on Ridgecrest Earthquake #2: Apparently measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale, this second quake in the same area of Southern California at 8:19pm PDT – following over 1500 aftershocks – strikes with Saturn in Capricorn exactly rising and Uranus in Taurus below, a very powerful and disturbing combination that has been associated with potent earthquakes in the past. The Ascendant-Descendant axis also reveals the fate-destiny oriented Mean Nodes of the Moon – which are right now (including yesterday’s earthquake) exactly igniting the Pluto Discovery placement at 17+ degrees of Cancer from February 18, 1930.
