Before this time, the dark-of-the-moon monthly phase is prominent — suggesting the need to complete odds and ends that have been going on in your life over the past 4+ weeks. Today’s eclipse will reveal a circular ring of solar light because the Moon happens to be near apogee or too far from the Earth to completely cover the disk of the Sun. Nevertheless, this line up of Earth, Moon and Sun is extremely potent, and all Libra themes are intensified. Early on this Saturday, the Moon makes its monthly union with Messenger of the Gods Mercury (2:59am) to reinforce your literary and educational talents. Later on healing forces are on center stage as the Sun makes a contra-parallel to Chiron (1:17pm) while Mercury forms its annual polarity with Chiron in Aries (3:32pm).
