Global Hot Spot: The Full Moon in Sagittarius-Gemini on December 18, 2021

Updated: Dec 16, 2021

Dateline December 17, 2021: For those of you who are now enjoying the Astrology Cosmic Kalendar one day at a time – but who have not yet subscribed to be able to look several weeks into the future – here are the calendar entries for two very significant days (Saturday December 18 and Sunday December 19). Because every day – beyond the current 24 hours that we define as one rotation of our celestial orb on its axis – has astro-zodiacal magic, mystery and wonder is why thousands of people around the world have been tuning into the Astrological Cosmic Kalendar for the last 40 years and since it was at the heart-center of our Welcome to Planet Earth pioneering astrology newspaper/magazine during the 1980s and 1990s.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius-Gemini happening on Saturday December 18 – where the Sun is at 28 degrees Sagittarius, the heart center of our Milky Way Galaxy – can make an extraordinary impact in your personal life and for all of humanity. You can read more about the upcoming Full Moon vibrations in one of the two future calendar entries below as well as tune into Sunday December 19 when Venus in Capricorn makes a station to go retrograde and Chiron in Aries halts its reversal in the zodiac by stopping to go direct. Please consider the merits of subscribing to the Astrology Cosmic Kalendar App to strengthen your already developing skills as a seer who can tune into the future ahead of time.

For a wide variety of insights on both of these rather momentous days this month – particularly associated with the USA birth chart from July 4, 1776 – please listen to my recent podcasts in the Mark Lerner Astrology Radio AstroScope section on our website. In several of these podcasts, I report on the Discovery of Chaos – a real far-away planet in our solar system with a 309-year orbit around the Sun. Chaos was discovered on November 19, 1998 – the same day that the recent Partial Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon in Scorpio and Taurus happened on this date in 2021. Plus, at this Full Moon on December 18, the Moon in Gemini is within 1 degree of Chaos, and in Washington, D.C. the Rising Sign at 23 degrees of Virgo is united with America’s Neptune-Chaos conjunction at 23-24 degrees of Virgo. Therefore, many of the still unknown and mysterious vibrations emanating from Chaos may become more apparent at this time and in the near future as Chaos is transiting at the end of Gemini and will enter the first degree of Cancer (one of the two solstice turning points of every year) in 2022. In addition, the global map of key solar, lunar and planetary rising, setting, above and below lines around the world is presented within this feature and the Full Moon in Sagittarius-Gemini horoscope calculated for Washington, D.C. is provided at the end of this feature.

Future Cosmic Kalendar Entries for Saturday December 18 and Sunday December 19 (All times are listed in PST.)

Saturday December 18 Full Moon fever is reaching a crescendo as the monthly solar-lunar polarity energizes 28 degrees of Sagittarius and Gemini (8:37pm). Be aware that the Sun on this day every year is conjunct the heart center of our Milky Way galaxy of billions of stars. Before the divine forces reach their epiphany, steer clear of illusions and fantasies that obscure your higher vision as the Moon in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces (6:25am). Another reason uncertainty may temporarily block your path to realizing important goals is that Mercury in Capricorn forms its own tense square to almost stationary Chiron in Aries (6:36pm). Fortunately, Mercury moves on to connect with Neptune via an imagination-boosting, 72-degree alignment (7:27pm). Utilize the time close to 8:37pm — with the rays of the Full Moon at their peak — to send out healing thoughts, prayers and affirmations to Mother Earth, humanity and the realms of nature. An additional thumbs-up arrives as the Moon trines ebullient Jupiter in Aquarius (10:03pm). As this liaison occurs, the Moon goes off on a void tangent for 3+ hours and only resurfaces at 1:43am tomorrow when it enters the vast water region known as zodiacal Cancer. Get set for a powerful stellar performance by Venus going into reverse and Chiron shifting forward on Sunday. [Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Standard Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.]

Sunday December 19 This is one of 2021’s most significant days as the Moon leaves void status in Gemini to enter its natural abode of watery Cancer (1:43am). First of all, the 48 hours after any Full Moon represents a time-period to continue playing the role of goodwill ambassador far and wide. In addition, home and family matters are of central importance. However, not only is Venus stopping to go retrograde at 27 degrees of Capricorn (2:37am) while Chiron is stopping to go direct at 9 degrees of Aries (8:34am), but Venus parallels the red planet Mars (6:35am) and the two largest celestial bodies in our solar system — the Sun in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Aquarius — offer earthlings a cornucopia of insights via their supportive, 60-degree alliance (4:33pm). When you study the many themes associated with Venus and Chiron in this paragraph, keep in mind that Venus has already merged with Pluto in Capricorn on December 11 and will do so again on December 25 and then for a third time on March 3, 2022. Venus remains in reverse until January 29, 2022 when it will resume direct motion at 12 degrees of Capricorn. Study the following major Venusian themes to get your bearings concerning the attributes of this crucial planet – love, emotional sensitivity, the arts and architecture, social activities, personal money matters and savings, beauty and magnetic attractions, value systems, harmony and balance in key relationships, alchemical-type reactions and changes in romance. Chiron sustains its forward momentum until July 19, 2022 when it will station to go retrograde at 17 degrees of Aries. Tune into the following main Chiron themes and archetypes – keys opening doors to higher consciousness, synchronicity, the wounded-healer, holistic healing and alternative medicine, the twilight zone, shamans, mavericks and mentors, mantras, mandalas, sacred dance, oracles, feelings of déjà vu and mental telepathy, ESP, bridge-building between different dimensions of consciousness, UFOs and ETs. Providing an extra dollop of revelation on this Sunday is the monthly Moon-Mercury polarity at 10:26pm. The bottom line is that spiritual dynamics are omnipresent and your life path can be altered in a very transformative way. Make sure all of this happens for the Highest Good. [Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Standard Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.]
