Because every day – beyond the current 24 hours that we define as one rotation of our celestial orb on its axis – has astro-zodiacal magic, mystery and wonder is why thousands of people around the world have been tuning into the Astrological Cosmic Kalendar for the last 41 years and since it was at the heart-center of our Welcome to Planet Earth pioneering astrology newspaper/magazine during the 1980s and 1990s.
The first main reason this Full Moon — energizing 17 degrees of Sagittarius and Gemini — is extra significant is because a very energizing and potentially volatile Sun polarity to Mars retrograde in Gemini happens less than 2 hours later.
The second main reason is that in the horoscope for this Full Moon calculated for our nation’s capital in Washington, D.C., the Sun makes an oblique and challenging, 150-degree inconjunct aspect to often surprise-bringer and radical-change agent Uranus in Taurus less than 6 hours before the Full Moon is exact.

Wednesday December 7 Easy does it. The cosmos is making heads spin as though every earthling is trapped on a never-stopping and quick-moving merry-go-round. Before reaching the enlightening promised land of the Full Moon — energizing 17 degrees of Sagittarius and Gemini at 8:09pm — Mercury in Capricorn makes a tense, 135-degree tie with Uranus in Taurus (3:13am), Venus in Sagittarius squares Ceres in Virgo (3:46am), the Sun squares Juno in Pisces (6:43am) and then the Sun moves on to form an off-kilter, 150-degree aspect to Uranus (2:36pm). This quartet of powerful sky configurations is very different from Tuesday’s inspirational Grand Triangle in earth signs. Surprises and shocks to the system are suddenly the norm rather than the exception. Expecting the unexpected is the way to prevent uncertainty from running rampant. Instead of becoming distracted, focus your attention on sending out healing affirmations, prayers and nurturing thoughts to dear ones, friends, Mother Earth and the realms of nature. This sounds fairly simple and straightforward to accomplish, but as indicated in yesterday’s calendar entry, the frequently-volatile red planet Mars, continuing in its lengthy retrograde cycle in Gemini, unites with the Moon (8:20pm) and then makes its annual polarity to the Sun (9:43pm). While Full Moon vibrations can be amazingly dynamic in their capacity to lift your spirits, when Juno in Pisces, Uranus in Taurus and Mars in Gemini are all making challenging aspects to the solar life-force, then it is crucial to emphasize peace of mind and emotional tranquility. Thursday December 8 The 48 hours after any Full Moon should not be a time to be a recluse or cease vital efforts to inspire loved ones and friends. Therefore, utilize this Thursday and Friday to maximize your role as a goodwill ambassador far and wide. Assisting you are insight-boosting trines from the Moon in Gemini to Saturn in Aquarius (4:43am) and between Ceres in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn (4:59am), plus peace-and-harmony advocate Juno in Pisces making a supportive, 60-degree alliance with intuition-enhancing Uranus in Taurus (6:03am). Along with the light-hearted and mentally upbeat energies that accompany the monthly transit of the Moon in the airy third sign of the zodiac, accomplishing what’s on your agenda and enjoying favorite arts, crafts and hobbies should proceed. However, a few obstacles to forward progress are tossed into the mix as the Moon squares Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces (9:14am and 10:15pm) and opposes Venus in Sagittarius (9:30pm) while Mars in Gemini forms a frictional square to Juno in Pisces (12:30pm). Be aware that the Moon-Jupiter square begins a void lunar cycle at 10:15pm that lasts until the Moon enters its natural abode of water-enhanced Cancer (11:50pm).
