The main reasons this New Moon — energizing 2 degrees of Aquarius — are extra significant is due to Venus approaching a conjunction with Saturn in Aquarius and Juno approaching a conjunction with Jupiter in Aries (both alignments exact tomorrow), and Vesta approaching a conjunction with Neptune in Pisces on Monday January 23, and Uranus is going to make a potent station in Taurus (shifting from reverse to direct) on Sunday January 22, plus this entire weekend is under the auspices of the major launch of the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Water Rabbit.

Saturday January 21 Tune into visions of the Great Beyond as the Moon in Capricorn forms a supportive, 60-degree alliance with Neptune in Pisces (12:02am). Some of the mysteries and secrets discovered on January 18 when the Sun united with Pluto can be looked at with renewed attention this morning as the Moon forms its monthly union with Pluto (7:53am). However, this Moon-Pluto contact begins a short void lunar zone that is also in sync with the dark-of-the-moon phase continuing in force until the New Moon arrives at 12:54pm and energizing 2 degrees of Aquarius. Every solar-lunar union has the capacity to send you soaring into the psychic stratosphere, but this particular merger in Aquarius places an emphasis on joining up with like-minded friends and associates in key group projects, team sports and community activities. Let your optimistic mind-set propel your upward and onward as the Moon forms a supportive, 60-degree liaison with Jupiter in Aries (5:10pm) and a harmonious trine with nurturing Ceres in Libra (8:30pm). Keep out of trouble later on due to Mercury in Capricorn taking a swipe at Venus in Aquarius via a tense, 45-degree aspect (11:42pm). From another perspective, today’s New Moon launches what’s known as the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrating the Rabbit archetype. Get set for Uranus leaving retrograde motion in Taurus tomorrow to go direct along with potent unions between Juno and Jupiter in Aries and Venus and Saturn in Aquarius. Sunday January 22 Revelations abound on this fourth Sunday in January as stellar forces are operating on extra high voltage. Not only is Uranus motionless and shifting from reverse to direct at 3:00pm activating 15 degrees of Taurus, but two powerful conjunctions light up the heavens. Juno merges with Jupiter at 5 degrees of Aries (2:05am) while Venus and Saturn converge at 25 degrees of Aquarius (2:14pm). Peace and harmony vibrations mix their essence with providential energies while love vibes and a sense of responsibility interact in a fateful rendezvous. Regarding Uranus, it’s important to zero in on this planet’s keynotes – surprises, revolution and radical change, intuition, eccentricity, the multi-media and high technology, advances in science and industry, aviation and space travel, the occult and metaphysics, jokers and wild cards, drawing outside the box, anxiety and the nervous system, upheavals and anarchy. Keep in mind that while Uranus will be no longer retrograde as the workweek begins tomorrow, all the Uranus themes indicated above will remain active at a white-hot level of impact in human affairs.
