Global Hot Spot: The Solstice – Sun into Capricorn on December 21, 2021

Dateline December 20, 2021: For those of you who are now enjoying the Astrology Cosmic Kalendar one day at a time – but who have not yet subscribed to be able to look several weeks into the future – here are the calendar entries for two very significant days (Tuesday December 21 and Wednesday December 22). Because every day – beyond the current 24 hours that we define as one rotation of our celestial orb on its axis – has astro-zodiacal magic, mystery and wonder is why thousands of people around the world have been tuning into the Astrological Cosmic Kalendar for the last 40 years and since it was at the heart-center of our Welcome to Planet Earth pioneering astrology newspaper/magazine during the 1980s and 1990s.

The Sun entering the last earth sign Capricorn on Tuesday December 21 – officially the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and one of the four sacred turning points of the year – can make an extraordinary impact in your personal life and for all of humanity. You can read more about the upcoming Solar Capricorn vibrations in one of the two future calendar entries below as well as tune into the day afterwards Wednesday December 22 when several profound celestial alignments light up the heavens. Please consider the merits of subscribing to the Astrology Cosmic Kalendar App to strengthen your already developing skills as a seer who can tune into the future ahead of time.

For a wide variety of insights on both of these rather momentous days this month – particularly associated with the USA birth chart from July 4, 1776 – please listen to my recent podcasts in the Mark Lerner Astrology Radio AstroScope section on our website. In several of these podcasts, I report on the Discovery of Chaos – a real far-away planet in our solar system with a 309-year orbit around the Sun. Chaos was discovered on November 19, 1998 – the same day that the recent Partial Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon in Scorpio and Taurus happened on this date in 2021. Plus, at this solstice the Sun at 0 degrees of Capricorn is less than two degrees from being opposite far-distant Chaos at 29 degrees of Gemini. Therefore, many of the still unknown and mysterious vibrations emanating from Chaos may become more apparent at this time and in the near future as Chaos is transiting at the end of Gemini and will enter the first degree of Cancer (the other solstice turning point of every year) in 2022. In addition, the global map of key solar, lunar and planetary rising, setting, above and below lines around the world is presented within this feature and the Sun entering Capricorn horoscope calculated for Washington, D.C. is provided at the end of this feature.

Important Note about “Dangerous Storms” in the Psychic Atmosphere of Humanity: At this solstice, Mercury is united with Juno at 13-14 degrees of Capricorn – closely opposite the Sun at 14 degrees of Cancer in the USA birth chart from July 4, 1776. If national and international events develop in connection with this start of the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere and accompanying Mercury-Juno* conjunction opposite America’s Sun that warrant greater explanation and analysis, I will provide more information on our website. *Juno has many sterling and admirable qualities and archetypes, but when it manifests in a negative manner then rage by the disempowered, terrorist acts as well as atmospheric storms can manifest. Since Mercury is strongly connected to changing weather conditions and has a huge rulership of the realms of health and medicine, the sudden emergence of a new and ominous coronavirus variant (Omicron) is something we all need to carefully consider as we go about our daily travels, family plans and social activities.

Future Cosmic Kalendar Entries for Tuesday December 21 and Wednesday December 22 (All times are listed in PST.)

Tuesday December 21 Exactly one year ago, the Sun entering earthy Capricorn was followed some 8 hours later by the first Jupiter-Saturn union in Aquarius since 1405. Now the Sun engaging with the career-profession exalting and achievement-stimulating tenth sign of the zodiac (8:00am) — considered one of the four sacred turning points of the year as winter begins in the Northern Hemisphere and summer begins in the Southern Hemisphere — has to share the stage with the largest asteroid Ceres for three reasons. Ceres has been in reverse in Gemini since October 8 and now re-enters Taurus (2:40am), plus the Sun while still in Sagittarius forms a dicey, 150-degree link with Ceres (7:17am) and then the Moon in Cancer forms a supportive, 60-degree alliance with Ceres (1:46pm). Ceres is associated with Mother Nature in all its forms as well as food production, dietary-nutritional matters and taking care of elders and children. Ceres will halt its retrograde motion on January 14 at 28 degrees of Taurus and then re-enter Gemini on February 8. With so many threads needing to be woven together to form a beautiful quilt — not an easy job at all — you also need to deal with the monthly lunar oppositions to Pluto (5:11am) and Venus (6:45am) both in Capricorn. The Moon-Venus polarity begins a void lunar twilight zone that lasts until the Moon enters fiery Leo at 1:55pm. It is wise to finish old business during the 7+ hour void cycle rather than launch any bold, new ventures. Gear up for a busy Wednesday as Mercury contacts three asteroids and giant Jupiter. [Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Standard Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.] Wednesday December 22 If you like dealing with change in many areas of life simultaneously, this is your kind of 24-hour experience. On the favorable end of the astro-psychic spectrum, a Grand Triangle formation offers waves of creative artistic inspiration and invigorating healing — courtesy of the Moon in Leo trine Mars in Sagittarius (2:26am) and Chiron in Aries (6:35am). However, Messenger of the Gods Mercury connects with a quartet of celestial bodies via a conjunction with peace-and-harmony advocate Juno at 14 degrees of Capricorn (3:10am), an abrasive, 45-degree tie with usually optimism-generating Jupiter (4:02am), a supportive, 60-degree alliance with problem-solver Pallas Athena (12:36pm) and a frictional, 135-degree aspect with maternal Ceres (6:57pm). An anything-goes vibration is suddenly the rule rather than the exception. Because Juno hassles Jupiter by another 45-degree contact (9:05am) and the Moon makes its monthly opposition to Saturn in Aquarius (11:29am) and a square to Uranus in Taurus (11:51am), stability is hard to find and maintain. Throwing your hands up in despair is not an option since the fate-destiny amplifying Mean Nodes of the Moon are shifting overnight from the beginning of Gemini-Sagittarius to the last degrees of Taurus-Scorpio in a long cycle in these two signs that lasts until July 12, 2023. In addition, the third Saturn-Uranus square of 2021 is about to occur late tomorrow night. Strive for serenity. [Note to readers: All times are calculated for Pacific Standard Time. Be sure to adjust all times according to your own local time so the alignments noted above will be exact for your location.]
